Paris

Launched in 2018, this project renovates apartments in the Marais district, between BHV and Eataly. Designed to enhance historic heritage, it offers modernized rental housing while preserving the building’s authenticity.

In each apartment, we considered the structural reinforcement approach to defining the new spaces. The new beam acts as a transfer beam, spreading the load over the entire surface of the apartment.

Architecture
Nicolas Dorval Bory Architectes
Born in 1980, graduated from ENSA Paris Val de Seine in 2007. After working in Santiago, Buenos Aires and Paris (2009-2013), Nicolas Dorval-Bory Architectes now operates in France and abroad.
Atelier Boteko
He works at different scales, analyzing each location to reveal its potential. His projects include apartment renovations, house requalifications, shopfitting and rural restorations. Winner of the AJAP (Albums des jeunes architectes et paysagistes) 2020, a competition organized by the French Ministry of Culture.
MBL Architects
Founded by Sébastien Martinez-Barat and Benjamin Lafore, later joined by Florian Jomain, is a studio exploring various aspects of architectural culture: construction, publications, teaching, object design and exhibition curation. Their eclectic approach sees architecture as a form of investigation.
